So. Battlefield 1. A game that forever changed my view on FPS games. One of my all time favorite games that, until recently, had been collecting dust on on my shelf. A few days ago I saw it, and, well..

I went back.

I thought I was done with it, but I went back.

And it was glorious. It was refreshing. It was just..beautiful to step foot into a completed game.

I missed it.

What did I miss, exactly?

Well, let me show you.

I missed Battlefield 1. I missed the chaotic explosions and the screaming and the dark, gritty feeling. I missed the epic moments when you advance a sector, or blow up a behemoth. Nothing compares to the momentary silence that happens when the airship goes up in flames, and everybody looks up to watch it fall.

For example, here's a recent game I had. It's not much to look at but the atmosphere and absolute chaos that's going on is one of my favorite parts of this game.

Battlefield 1 was my introduction into the crazy, chaotic world that is Battlefield. The destructible environment, the squad play, the combination of air land and sea to form a massive battleground that's never devoid of action. It was the perfect way to start, as it's less complicated than other battlefield games in my opinion. I loved it. I still do love it. It captures the grittiness of war but it's also beautiful and polished.

Thank you Dice.
